Abstract

Family health is an important component of community quality of life. At the community level, understanding of healthy lifestyle practices within the family remains limited, and preventive health practices have not been implemented consistently. This community service activity aimed to improve public knowledge and awareness of family health in support of family development programs. The activity was conducted in Tarub Village, Tegal Regency, involving 35 local residents, particularly housewives and community members active in community activities. The program consisted of family health education through counseling, presentation media, interactive discussion, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The evaluation showed an increase in the overall mean knowledge score from 50 before the activity to 85 after the activity, equivalent to a 70% relative increase. Participant satisfaction reached 92%. The activity strengthened participants' understanding of healthy lifestyle practices within the family and supported awareness of sustainable family health practices.
