Abstract

The prolonged humanitarian crisis resulting from the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has led to food insecurity, shortages of medical facilities, and massive displacement, demanding a strategic international response based on solidarity. This article reports on an international Community Service (PkM) initiative conducted in collaboration with LAZISMU and other strategic partners to deliver comprehensive humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in Gaza and Palestinian refugees in Egypt. The initiative adopted a Logistics Hub approach centered in Cairo, Egypt, through multi-stakeholder collaboration and direct supervision. The program comprised five strategic stages: logistics inspection and quality control, institutional diplomacy with the Indonesian Embassy in Egypt, a large-scale logistics dispatch ceremony, door-to-door distribution to refugees, and the handover of essential medical equipment. Program achievements were assessed descriptively using handover reports, field reports, and published documentation on Instagram and news websites. The program gradually prepared and dispatched 2 metric tons of fresh vegetables, 50 fire-resistant tents, and winter and iftar packages to conflict-affected areas. It also distributed 50 food packages to approximately 50 refugee households in Madinat Salam, Egypt, and handed over medical equipment while supporting hemodialysis services at the Palestinian Red Crescent Hospital in Cairo. The number of recipients in Gaza could not be verified, and no measurable impact evaluation was conducted. In conclusion, this collaborative model demonstrated distribution outcomes consistent with the planned activities under documented direct supervision in responding to global humanitarian emergencies. Although its effectiveness has not been quantitatively measured, the initiative represents a tangible implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through international humanitarian diplomacy.
